NATURAL THIN VENEER STONE

"A NATURAL FIT"

The unique beauty and durability of natural stone has been integrated into all types of building applications for centuries. Architects, builders and consumers are all specifying the use of natural stone in their projects.

Until recently a large demographic of consumers were unable to incorporate natural stone into their projects. They are the renovators; most often restricted by lack of support for a full 4-6" veneer stone and the existing space limitations. For these folks, who want the look of natural stone, using a concrete imitation stone was as close as they could come.

The natural stone industry recognized this and spent a couple of years collaborating on a solution. The results are sending ripples through the building industry: natural stone veneer, sawn to a thickness of ¾" - 1", negating the former challenges of support and weight.

More and more varieties of stone are being sawn to a thin veneer version. Now that outdated stucco fireplace can become the beautiful focal point in the den with the addition of natural thin stone veneer.

Masons are appreciating the ease of working with the thin veneer. Most of the varieties are less than 1" in thickness, and are easy to saw and work with a chisel (impossible with a concrete product). The beauty of the finished projects far exceeds the commercial look of a molded concrete product.

In any building project, cost is always a consideration. Most people are surprised to learn that natural thin stone veneer is comparable in price to the concrete impersonation. And, what's more, the stone can be worked with a chisel to achieve a distinctive look which will last forever. Only natural stone can make that claim.

Next time you're faced with a building project, whether it be new construction, facing an existing concrete foundation or dressing up a front entrance, explore the many beautiful choices available in natural thin veneer and get the look you've been dreaming of.
