W. S. Goodrich hosts thin stone seminar
February 19, 2005 - Recently, W.S. Goodrich hosted the first of an annual series of educational
seminars. This year's event showcased a new line of high quality natural thin stone veneer. Natural thin veneer
has been around for many years, but has recently come into great popularity for its light weight and the versatility it offers
to installations where space issues exist. Some of the many examples where thin veneer is an excellent choice include
projects such as: covering up concrete foundations, facing block walls or retaining walls, facing a house, and facing
fireplace surrounds. Thin veneer requires no expensive footings and can be installed over most any surface with the ease of
manufactured stone. Thin veneer is available in a variety of colors, textures and shapes. Many types have corner units
available as well.
The event was a great success, attended by many of the areas best masons. The morning began with an incredible gourmet
buffet created by Zampa restaurant in Epping. Attendees used this time to network and view sample panels of the stone.
Things got underway with discussions and Q&A periods with Jeff Hubbard from Plymouth Quarries and Terry Meck from
Rolling Rock. The attendees were then invited to work with the stone on a block panel. Many of the attendees took
advantage of this opportunity. The morning ended with a raffle drawing for a new winter coat.
Stop in to WS Goodrich and view our new display panels of natural thin stone veneer and learn how its beauty and versatility
can enhance your next project!
